Feed Minds, Change Lives : WFP’s Commitment to School Meals

WFP is committed to supporting government-led, nationally funded school feeding programmes. Since 2009, there has been a deliberate effort to formalise a set of guiding standards to help to deliver sustainable and quality school feeding programmes. To date, WFP programmes have been handed over to Governments in 37 countries. The transition to national funding and ownership is a gradual process that aims to ensure long-term, locally sourced and affordable programme design of national school feeding programmes.
