Swaziland DEV 200353 Food By Prescription: An Operation Evaluation
The evaluation covers the Swaziland development project DEV 200353 "Food by Prescription". It was intended for both accountability and learning and focuses on assessing: i) the appropriateness and coherence of the operation; ii) its results; and iii) the factors explaining the results.

The evaluation assessed the following activities: 1) food assistance to malnourished antiretroviral therapy (ART) clients; 2) food assistance to malnourished TB treatment clients; 3) food assistance to malnourished women enrolled in antenatal care for prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) 4) care for children under five and adolescents up to 18 years old who have been discharged from the government programme for integrated management of moderate acute malnutrition (IMAM) 5) household nutrition support for all ART/TB treatment and PMTCT clients 6) capacity building and forthcoming handover components.

The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future, was managed and conducted by a consultancy firm, with fieldwork taking place in June 2016.
