Philippines: ASEAN Turns Over Rice to DSWD for Typhoon Bopha Response through WFP

Officials from the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance (AHA) recently visited the Philippines to handover their rice donation to the Philippine Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), as part of ASEAN support to the Philippine Government’s Typhoon Pablo response

Said Faisal, Executive Director of ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance (AHA) [2nd from left] turns over 3,000 bags of rice to Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary Mateo Montaño and DSWD Director Priscilla N. The AHA provided USD100,000 to WFP to purchase the rice, which is part of ASEAN support to the Philippine Government’s Typhoon Pablo response.
