Members of the Norway and Amgbagbao Farmers' Association say they are more motivated after receiving food and training. This project is among many European Commission funded training and work programs carried out by WFP in cooperation with other aid agencies and the government of Sierra Leone. The farmers hope to expand their cropland and increase their rice harvests from twice to three times a year. They plan to sell the surplus to WFP,  under its P4P initiative, which works to improve agricultural production and at the same time link growers to markets.
