WFP is continuing the shift from in-kind to cash transfers. Nairobi schools in unplanned urban settlements are switching to cash. In Isiolo, General Food Distribution will be replaced by Unconditional Cash Transfers, and in Makueni beneficiaries participating in asset creation programmes will start receiving cash instead of food. Resources permitting, relief and resilience programmes in Samburu and Baringo will switch to cash in early 2016.
