Jordan has achieved exemplary progress in various development indicators, however the country is facing significant challenges to achieve SDG2. The most pressing are: over-nutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, food instability, resource constraints and international fluctuations, demographic growth and the Syrian refugee crisis. Conducted under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, the review focuses on analysing the drivers and challenges affecting Jordan’s ambition to achieve SGD 2. It attempts to identify opportunities, threats and challenges to ensure that appropriate and adequate actions are immediately initiated.
