Due to a funding shortfall, WFP will not provide any in-kind meals in Term 1 of 2017 (January - April). The pipeline break is affecting 458,000 children from Kenya’s most arid counties. Schools under cash transfers (up to 110,000 pupils in Nairobi and parts of Turkana) are not affected.
The children that are affected by the pipeline break are the most needy, located in Kenya’s arid counties that have lowest enrolment rates, low attendance and the highest food insecurity.
