In May 2016, WFP started remote phone-based data collection and food security monitoring in Zambia through the mVAM (mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping) approach. Survey respondents are contacted through operators and asked to respond to a short series of questions on prices of main food commodities and an open-ended question on market functioning.
