April Online Intern Erika has been busy thinking about how to get others involved in WFP’s important work. So far this month she has posted a daily photo on Facebook and Twitter that shows people from around the world joining the fight against hunger. She shares more ideas and her thoughts below.
We all have our own reasons for getting involved in solving hunger. Our online intern this month hopes to inspire as many people as possible to join WFP’s work and to do their part to help out. A passion for food and interest in nutrition motivated her to become a WFP student online intern. Here’s how you can join her. Meet Erika McCulloch.
Jude from Belgium turned to his peers from around the world to help him make a video raising awareness about hunger. In turn, he discovered the creativity and passion of students like him working to solve hunger – and hope for the future. He wrote this essay to share how the experience inspired him to keep making a difference.
Each month, our online interns from around the world create an online advocacy project to engage their communities in solving hunger. They challenge their friends to tournaments on Freerice.com or create photo galleries of people making a difference. This month, however, our online intern from Belgium is calling on you to help him take his project to the next level. He’s creating a video around his core belief that food is life. He can’t finish it, however, without first hearing from you.
