A Generation At Risk In Conflict-Torn Yemen

Yemen is the poorest country in the Arab world. Civil unrest and waves of violence have left many families struggling to rebuild their homes and shattered lives. Increasing food and fuel prices have pushed many into poverty and hunger. Children are paying the highest price. Levels of chronic malnutrition are the second highest in the world. WFP is assisting some 5 million people across the country with food assistance.
