Kafr Battna Convoy, Syria (For the Media)

WFP welcomes the agreement in Munich for a nationwide cessation of hostilities in Syria. Any opportunity to give civilians a break and allow humanitarian agencies to deliver much needed aid is welcome. So far – following the Munich agreement - WFP has delivered desperately needed food in a series of inter-agency convoys for more than 113,000 people who have been trapped in six besieged Syrian towns. Plans for additional convoys are underway.
