New WFP Video from Iraq and Syria Shows People Continuing to be Displaced by Recent Military Operations (For the Media)

WFP is concerned about the safety of tens of thousands of people who have become displaced due to the violence in northeast Syria. Since 9 October, large numbers of people have fled the towns of Ras al-Ayn in Hasakeh and Tell Abyad in Raqqa, though some have since returned to their places of origin.
WFP is working around the clock and has already provided food for more than 280,000 displaced people and members of host families in northeast Syria. WFP is scaling-up its response with monthly food assistance to support 580,000 vulnerable people, including newly-displaced people and host families.
WFP calls for supply routes be kept open and safe for humanitarian deliveries. All parties to the conflict should ensure unconditional and unimpeded access to all people in need across Syria.
