UN Convoy Brings Food Into Syria From Turkey

A UN humanitarian convoy has for the first time crossed the Turkish border into northern Syria, bringing supplies for hundreds of thousands of people in desperate need.

It is the first time in the three years of the Syrian conflict that it has been possible to transport aid via this route. The convoy, is bound for the city of Qamishli, carrying food and supplies for four UN agencies: WFP, UNICEF, UNHCR and IOM.
