Building on a partnership to leverage the national social protection programme (4Ps: Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program), over 42,000 households were reached with anticipatory cash across five at-risk provinces two to three days before landfall, with early response support following for the hardest-hit families.
In March 2026, DSWD, WFP along with select local governments and humanitarian partners conducted the AAR to review the joint operations; identify challenges and opportunities for future implementation; and develop policy recommendations. This report offers valuable insights on strengthening disaster risk management through inclusive, shock-responsive social protection systems.
