https://docs.wfp.org/api/documents/WFP-0000174012/download/
This summary presents evidence and key insights from evaluations on WFP's school feeding programmes in 9 countries in the Middle East, Northern Africa and Eastern Europe region.

Overall, the summary finds that WFP school feeding programmes in the MENAEE region are highly relevant and especially valuable in crisis settings, where they help protect children’s access to food and supporting attendance and retention, particularly in crisis settings.

Evidence was systematically extracted from 10 WFP evaluations (2022-2025) judged to be of at least ‘satisfactory’ quality in independent assessment, using an analytical framework reflecting key areas of interest identified at the framing stage. It was analysed and clustered around analytical themes, with key patterns and findings identified.
