New and protracted conflicts, more frequent disasters, economic volatility and enduring inflation combined to drive surging rates of hunger in 2024. In response, the World Food Programme stayed and delivered – reaching over 124 million people despite multiple obstacles and risks.

The Annual Review provides context, key data and powerful storytelling, complemented by strong video and photography, to show how WFP responded to major emergencies while building resilience among the most vulnerable communities.

It further highlights how we continued to unleash the huge potential of technology, innovation and the private sector, with a strong partnership approach helping to mobilize resources, strengthen operations and increase efficiency.

The Annual Review draws on background and data from WFP’s Annual Performance Report, the organization’s main annual accountability report featuring achievements and challenges for the reporting year.
