This Sway document introduces the Africa Integrated Climate Risk Management (AICRM) programme and showcases its work through photos and stories from the field.
AICRM is financed by US$143 million from the Green Climate Fund (GCF), led by IFAD, in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Africa Risk Capacity (ARC). The programme is being
implemented over a six‑year period, starting in March 2024 with the aim of building resilience of smallholder farmers to climate-related shocks such as droughts and floods in Burkina Faso, Niger, Senegal, The Gambia, Mali, Mauritania and Chad.
