This factsheet outlines WFP’s efforts to support food security and strengthen food systems in Lebanon, amid ongoing conflict and economic instability. WFP provides life-saving food and cash assistance to vulnerable populations while also investing in long-term solutions by supporting smallholder farmers, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the rehabilitation of food infrastructure. We work with the Government of Lebanon to scale up school meals, promote local production and strengthen national safety nets. Through strong partnerships with national ministries, UN agencies, NGOs and donors, WFP fosters resilience, food systems transformation, and nutrition-sensitive social protection in Lebanon.
