This Independent Country-Level Final Evaluation will assess the relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, contribution to impact and sustainability of the Joint Programme on Accelerating Progress towards the Economic Empowerment of Rural Women (JP RWEE) Phase II in Tanzania.

JP RWEE is a global initiative that aims to secure rural women’s livelihoods and rights in the context of sustainable development. Jointly implemented since 2012 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls (UN Women) and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).

The evaluation will pay particular attention to the programme's contribution to the economic empowerment of rural women, the effectiveness of gender-transformative approaches, disability inclusion, and the added value of the joint programme model.
