The WFP Innovation Strategy 2026–2028 sets out how WFP will embed innovation across the organization to better meet rising humanitarian and development needs. This builds on innovation’s role as a core enabler of the WFP Strategic Plan 2026–2029.
Designed with input from WFP colleagues, partners and collaborators across the world, the strategy places the people we serve front and centre of our innovation approach and invites all of us to play a role in turning solutions into impact. The strategy focuses on:
- Country‑led innovation and localized problem‑solving
- Scaling proven solutions for greater impact
- Strengthening WFP’s innovation culture
- Deepening partnerships and ecosystems
- Mobilizing sustainable financing
