The mid-term and endline evaluations of WFP Rwanda’s USDA McGovern-Dole Sustainable School Feeding Programme (FY24) - a five-year, USD 28 million initiative supporting Rwanda’s transition to a fully government-owned National School Feeding Programme by 2029 - will be carried out in 2027 and 2029 respectively.
The evaluations will assess relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability, with a strong focus on government readiness to manage the programme independently, the quality and sustainability of school feeding systems, literacy and nutrition outcomes, and the integration of smallholder farmers into local food supply chains.
