From June – November 2020, the World Food Programme piloted a new project in Damascus and Rural Damascus with the aim of supporting vulnerable Syrian families to improve their food security.
Families were provided with a combination of both cash and food to help them to meet their basic needs, boost their nutrition and to prevent them from slipping further into poverty. This factsheet highlights the results of a pilot study that found that 98 percent of families preferred to receive hybrid assistance in the future.
