These six Cases Studies from Philippines were derived from the 2022 Decentralized Evaluation under the theme of Country Capacity Strengthening (CCS) and aim to tell the Philippines CCS story in line with WFPs Changing Lives Agenda.

Capacity Strengthening constitutes a large part of programme and supply chain implementation in the Philippines as demonstrated through Country Strategy Programme’s over the last decade and beyond.

To understand, demonstrate and learn from past interventions, these case studies were derived from the 2022 Decentralized Evaluation under the theme of Country Capacity Strengthening (CCS) and attempt to reconstruct the Philippines CCS story in line with WFPs Changing Lives Agenda.

The themes covered under this six-part CCS case study series include food security and nutrition under which efforts on food fortification are included, emergency response and preparedness, social protection, anticipatory action and climate risk management.

In line with the Decentralized Evaluation’s recommendations, the Philippines Country Office will continue to improve and sustain its knowledge management on CCS in order to demonstrate WFPs contribution to several ongoing development-related interventions over the medium to long term.
