This resource framework is intended as a guidance tool for the design, implementation and monitoring of home-grown school feeding programmes. It was jointly produced by WFP, FAO, IFAD, NEPAD, GCNF and PCD.
WFP's Fill the Nutrient Gap tool analyses the nutrition situation in a country and identifies the barriers faced by the most vulnerable to accessing and consuming healthy and nutritious foods. The project is carried out in collaboration with a range of national stakeholders and its results are used to inform policies and programming in social protection, food systems, health, agriculture, education and other sectors that can contribute to improving nutrition.
You can watch a video with a brief overview of the Fill the Nutrient Gap analysis below.
WFP is committed to scaling up Anticipatory Action programmes and protecting more people before extreme weather events strike. This page displays the activations that occur throughout the year. It shows the number of people reached and the types of anticipatory actions being implemented in each country. These AAs aim to prevent and/or lessen the humanitarian consequences of predicted shocks, while delivering a quicker, more cost-effective, and more dignified response.
