https://docs.wfp.org/api/documents/WFP-0000145460/download/
This manual, commissioned by the World Food Programme (WFP), helps health care workers, social workers and people living with HIV (PLHIV) to understand the importance of a healthy and balanced diet, combined with physical activity, in improving the quality of life, the health status of patients and the effectiveness of antiretroviral treatment.

WFP, Tunisia office, conducted a study in 2021 on the state of food insecurity of the population living with HIV (PLHIV) and living in Tunisia. The results emphasized the need for a nutrition education program for staff and patients.

This manual is therefore a guide for trainers that will allow them to carry out this education adapted and specific to PLHIV but can also be consulted by patients and their families to better integrate healthy and balanced nutrition in their care and life project.

This manual will be useful for planning and implementing food and nutrition support as part of a comprehensive life-cycle management program for patients living with HIV.
