As global levels of hunger rise to record highs, WFP and the European Union continue to work closely together. This report details our partnership in 2021.
In 2021, the European Commission alone contributed €424 million and was WFP’s third largest donor. These annual highlights show the breadth and scope of our work together in 2021 as the European Union (EU) supported WFP in the biggest operation in its history, reaching 128 million people in 120 countries, as we responded to conflict, the climate crises, the economic consequences of COVID-19, and rising costs.
