- The number of Burundian refugees arriving in Uganda since November 2014 reached approximately 8,800 people on 22 June 2015. The new arrivals came in in at a rate of around 92 persons per day.
- The Burundians are arriving alongside other refugees fleeing instability in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Nakivale settlement, where most of the Burundian refugees are arriving, is also receiving Congolese nationals at a rate of 30-50 persons/day.
- WFP is providing cooked meals and nutrition assistance at two transit centres, as well as dry rations to aid to the new arrivals’ resettlement.
