BANGKOK/SINGAPORE – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and online social movement are launching a new partnership to raise funds for the global fight against hunger. The first campaign under the partnership will benefit WFP’s emergency operation to meet the needs of people affected by conflict in Syria. offers a not-for-profit service to receive individual charitable donations online. People can support organisations such as WFP through personalised donation drives targeting their social networks, start awareness campaigns to build support for specific causes and set up creative fundraising events.

“We look forward to tapping into’s network of individuals who are excited about finding creative ways to support the fight against hunger,” said Jay Aldous, WFP Director of Private Sector Partnerships. “It’s particularly fitting that our first campaign together will support WFP’s emergency operation in Syria.
