2017 - Nutrition Policy Summary Brochure

In February 2017, WFP adopted a new nutrition policy (2017-2021), which reaffirms WFP’s commitment to prioritizing nutrition in its work to achieve zero hunger. The policy places the promotion of healthy diets that meet nutrient needs at its core and aims to contribute to the elimination of all forms of malnutrition – including overweight and obesity – in line with Sustainable Development Goal target 2.2. As with the 2012 nutrition policy, ensuring that nutrition is addressed in emergencies remains paramount.
