A strategy and rationale for scaling up nutrition-sensitive social protection to reduce child and maternal malnutrition in Asia.

This document offers a rationale for scaling up effective nutrition-sensitive social protection (SP) interventions to reduce the global burden of child and maternal malnutrition in Asia – South and South-East Asia in particular. It brings together two fields that are usually approached separately: nutrition and SP. Its purpose is to inform practitioners from both fields during the design and implementation of SP programmes by using a nutrition lens.
