In June 2020, WFP in Republic of Congo has started supporting women groups making mbala pinda. Those mixed cassava and peanuts snacks will be bought by WFP and distributed as school meals and in health centres to vulnerable people of the area. In order to ensure the food safety of this new product, WFP realized a food safety guide for women groups (or everyone interested in the production of this product) with basic and mandatory guidelines for the production of mbala pinda.
